CTIPP is excited to announce that 1,059 advocates joined our rally cry urging Congress to #TakeOnTrauma. Your signatures sent a powerful message to Congress that a growing movement is committed to addressing trauma and investing in community-based solutions. Stay tuned as we propel this momentum toward innovative policies and legislation rooted in trauma-informed care and healing-centered engagement.

We're also pleased to announce that our earmark campaign resulted in $1 million in funding from Congress to help the Tennyson Center for Children open a new trauma-informed youth residential program in North Denver. The program will address the urgent and unmet mental health needs of low-income children aged 5-20 with co-occurring intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health needs.

We remain grateful for your passion, time, and commitment to the trauma-informed movement because it is only through collective action that we can heal and rebuild our communities.

Sincerely,

Your Friends at CTIPP

MINDFUL MOMENT: YAWN IT OUT

This mindfulness exercise is meant to help you release tension and return to reality by utilizing the natural pause that occurs during a yawn. To begin, fake a yawn, as this can lead to a real one.

As you yawn, stretch your body slowly for 20 seconds, focusing on any areas of tightness and releasing them. Pay attention to the brief pause during your yawn and take a few moments to return to the present moment, setting the intention to be fully aware and present
