Happy February,

During the last CTIPP CAN call, we heard from advocates nationwide about policies and practices they are advocating for right now. During this month's call, we will brainstorm the policies and practices our network would like to see the trauma-informed movement advocate for moving forward.

We hope you will join us for this month's CTIPP CAN call on Wednesday, February 19th, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET.

In the past, we have shared our vision, which includes policies and practices across 16 dimensions that would help improve our society. Given the challenges that we are facing, we must share our ideals for where the movement is heading. While we continue to advocate for the policies and practices discussed last month, we dream big and have an ambitious agenda we are working toward together.

We look forward to seeing you on the 19th!

Sincerely,

The CTIPP Team

  • CTIPP has launched a new (FREE!) resource to help trauma-informed legislation become a reality. Using new advocacy software, we’ll help you create outreach campaigns to connect with targeted legislators and policymakers (via emails, phone calls, and/or social media posts).
    • Curious what an outreach campaign looks like? Check out the Trauma-Informed Ohio Act (and please consider voicing support if you're based in Ohio!), which would establish statewide trauma-informed training across education, healthcare, law enforcement, and social services.
  • Our CTIPP CAN January 2025 meeting connected with trauma-informed advocates as we activate our 2025 legislative and policymaking campaigns. We worked on building community, networking, and sharing resources as planned outreach to newly elected officials at the city, state, and federal levels. Register for future meetings.
  • Across the nation, Transformational Resilience Coordinating Networks (TRCNs) are developing and implementing community-led strategies that help people remain healthy and resilient as the climate-ecosystem-biodiversity (C-E-B) crisis escalates. Join our UN High Level Climate Champion “Race to Resilience” Initiative to build mental wellness and transformational resilience in your community.

  • The American Public Health Association is addressing the ongoing challenges of restrictions, freezes to existing grants, and the expected reduction in support moving forward. APHA was one of the leading organizations that sued to challenge the OMB freeze on federal grants. If you have a federal grant that serves the public and are willing to share this information, please take a moment and fill out this survey. If you have more than one federally funded project, please complete each project's survey.

  • U.S. Congressman Paul Tonko wants to hear questions and concerns about whether your federal assistance will be impacted. If you are willing to share, please fill out this survey.

  • Do you know someone already advocating for trauma-informed policies and practices or who would be an awesome addition to the movement? Encourage them to join CTIPP’s Community Advocacy Network today!
