Happy Wednesday,

It’s July, which means we’re more than halfway through 2022 - and what a year it’s (already) been!

One big, completed project we’re particularly proud of is our new and improved website that launched in mid-June: CTIPP.org. Beyond the modern design and easy search functionality, we have launched a comprehensive Resource Center (news, analysis, webinars, resources, and more!). You can also now sign up for Chat & Chew to brainstorm or collaborate with CTIPP staff.

We're also excited to announce that the U.S. House Appropriations Committee has included our ask for $1 billion towards school mental health staff and language for trauma-informed schools. We've cleared the first hurdle, and it now goes before the U.S. House for a full vote. Then the U.S. Senate will pass their version before the bills are conferenced, passed, and signed by President Joe Biden. Stay tuned!

We’d love to hear your feedback on the new website, vision, policy priorities, and anything else on your mind!

Thank you for your continued efforts to advance the trauma-informed movement, and we hope you have a healthy and safe rest of your summer.

Sincerely,

Your friends at CTIPP

Our next Community Action Network (CAN) call (2:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET) will feature Katherine Manning, author of The Empathetic Workplace and the President of Blackbird DC. We'll also discuss trauma funding in the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which was just signed into law, the latest on U.S. Senate appropriations, and more trauma-informed policy updates with Capitol Hill staff.
